R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-024
R ESOLUTION C ALLING FOR H EARING ON P ROPOSED A SSESSMENT FOR THE
2020 M ILL AND O VERLAY P ROJECT (ST209002)
WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on January 14, 2020, the City Clerk was directed to
prepare a proposed assessment of the cost for the improvement of the streets north of CP rail, south of
Schmidt Lake Road, west of Garland Court, and east of Peony Lane as well as West Medicine Lake Drive from
th
CSAH 61 to State Highway 55 and 12 Avenue east of West Medicine Lake Drive, by mill and overlay of
bituminous pavement, replacement of bituminous & concrete curb and gutter, water repair, sewer repair, and
all necessary appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed
and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. A hearing shall be held on the 24h day of March, 2020, in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth
City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:00 p.m. to pass upon such proposed
assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will
be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment.
2. The City Clerk is directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published
once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and shall state in the notice the
total cost of the improvement. The City Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of
each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearing.
