Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting
of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota was
held on the 17th day of April, -1972. The following members were
present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Spaeth, Seibold and Neils.
The following members were absent: None.

Councilman Seibold introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 72-143
WHEREAS, the abandonment of the "Luce Line" by the Chicago
and Northwestern Railroad has provided a unique opportunity to
establish a magnificent recreational facility for future gener-
ations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH that this Council supports and en-
courages the acquisition of the abandoned right-of-way by the
State of Minnesota for a State trailway to be administered under,
the jurisdiction of the Department of Natural Resources, and
further that our State representatives be requested to support
legislation appropriating funds for the acquisition and develop-
ment of this trail during the 1973 legislative session.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk be instructed to pro-
vide copies of this Resolution to our State representatives.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was
duly seconded by Councilman Neils, and upon vote being taken there
on, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen
Hunt, Spaeth, Seibold and Neils. The following voted against:
None. Whereupon the resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted.
