VILLAGE OF PLYPDUTH
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Plymouth, Ainnesota was held on the 6th day of
March, 1972. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen
Spaeth, Hunt, Neils and Seibold. The following members were absent: None.
Councilman Hunt introduced the follo,,•ing Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION W. 72-91
WHEREAS, County of Hennepin has requested that the Village take over
maintenance of the West Frontage Road of County Road #18 from T.H. 55 to
approximately 32nd Avenue North, and
WHEREAS, County of Hennepin has agreed to allow the Village jurisdiction
of the road, including utility location and construction, and
WHEREAS, Construction Cooperative Agreements No. PRY 06-17-70 and
PW 38-17-70 previously executed by and between the County and the Village
provide that the Village at its expense shall maintain the frontage roads
constructed westerly of the through lanes of County State Aid Highway No. 18
between County State Aid Highway No. 9 and the northerly Village limits, and
WHER:A.S, Included in the construction of County State Aid Highway No. 18
under County Projects Nos. 5727 and 6722 was the construction of frontage
roads within the corporate limits of the Village lying westerly of the through
lanes of said County State Aid Highway No. 18 between 9th Avenue North and
County State Aid Highway No. 9, and
WHEREAS, The frontage roads were constructed for the express purpose of
providing access to the Village street system and as such are not an integral
part of the County Highway system, and
WHEREAS, It is reasonable and proper therefore, that the Village accept
the responsibility for the maintenance of the remaining frontage roads
adjacent to County State Aid Highway No. 18 within its corporate limits, and
WHEREAS, It is contemplated that said work be carried out by the parties
hereto under the provisions of M.S. Sec. 162.17, Subd. 1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF PLYHDM THAT:

Upon completion of the construction by the County of all frontage roads
lying westerly of the through lanes of County State Aid Highway No. 18 between
9th Avenue North and County State Aid Highway No. 9 in the Village of Plymouth,
Village representatives will inspect the frontage roads and appurtenances.

When the frontage roads are found to be acceptable by Village representa-
tives, the Village shall indicate acceptance. Thereafter, all maintenance .
