HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1972-008VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 3rd day of January, 1972. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Spaeth, Hunt, Selbold and Neils. The following members were absent: None. Mayor Hilde introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72-8 WHEREAS. the Village Manager recommended to the Village Council that the Village enter into an agre'ment with Brooklyn Center concerning the Property Tax Levy Limitations litigation which they have instituted, to share in the litigation expenses up to $500 and become an intervening party. NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH: "Authorisation is hereby given for the Village to proceed to proceed to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Brooklyn Center relating to a judicial determination of the validity of the interpretation of extra session laws, 1971. Chapter 31, by the Minnesota Commissioner of Taxation on the basis of Alternate 02, providing in addition to the sharing of the litigation expenses up to the $500 maximum, also becoming an intervening litigant party." The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Hunt and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Seibold and Neils. No. 72-8 STATE OF MINNESOTA ) COUNTY OF HENNEPIIN ) SS VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH) I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby cer-ify that I have carefully compared the foregoing extract of the minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council of said Village held on January 3, 1972, with the original thereof on file in my office and the same is a full, true and complete transcript therefrom insofar as the same relates to a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Brooklyn Center.
