HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2018-348 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-348 R ESOLUTION A WARDING C ONTRACT FOR THE N EIGHBORHOOD D RAINAGE I MPROVEMENTS (18015) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Neighborhood Drainage Improvements, City Project No. 18015, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Base Bid Bid Alternate Base Bid + Bid (Total Schedules A-C) No. 1 Alternate No. 1 (Schedule D) (Total Schedules A-D) Sunram Construction, Inc. $232,312.00 $63,736.75 $296,048.75 New Look Contracting, Inc. $270,144.00 $52,427.50 $322,571.50 Blackstone Contractors LLC $285,945.00 $70,996.00 $356,941.00 G.F. Jedlicki, Inc $342,730.50 $78,698.50 $421,429.00 Meyer Contracting Inc. $378,253.25 $69,623.95 $447,877.20 Urban Companies $440,558.56 $84,510.40 $525,068.96 Engineer’s Estimate $290,722.50 WHEREAS, Sunram Construction, Inc. of Corcoran, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications; and WHEREAS, the City’s engineering consultant recommends awarding the project to Sunram Construction, Inc. of Corcoran, MN. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the Total Bid, including Base Bid and Bid Alternate #1 with Sunram Construction, Inc. in the name of the City of Plymouth for the improvement of the area generally located within the French Ridge Park, St. Mary’s, Ivanhoe Woods/Pheasant Hills neighborhoods, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $296,048.75. 2. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest successful bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that funding for this project shall be from the Water Resources Fund estimated in an amount of $296,048.75. APPROVED by the City Council on this 13th day of November, 2018.
