NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Plymouth, Minnesota, that, after due consideration, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, adopts the following findings of fact related to the project proposed by Cantel Medical and its application for an award and/or rebate from the Job Creation Fund Program and express their approval. The City Council hereby finds and adopts the reasons and facts supporting the following findings of fact for the approval of the Job Creation Fund Program application: 1. The expansion of Cantel Medical in Plymouth is in the public interest because it will prevent the movement of current or future operations to locations outside Minnesota, result in increased employment of 101 jobs in Minnesota, and preserve or enhance the state and local tax base by investing $6.2 million into renovating a vacant building. 2. Cantel Medical has a number of locations around the United States that would be viable options for this project. The availability of an award from the Job Creation Fund Program provides incentive for the company to select this location that is required to repurpose this currently vacant building. 3. The use of the building is consistent with the intended use and general plan for the development of the City of Plymouth. 4. The proposed project will afford maximum opportunity, consistent with the sound needs of the City as a whole, for the reuse of the building by private enterprise.
