R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-301
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING E XPENDITURE FROM THE R ESOURCE P LANNING
F UND TO P URCHASE A P OLARIS R ANGER C REW U TILITY V EHICLE
WHEREAS, the City has need for a vehicle that can be prioritized for park patrol; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting to purchase a utility vehicle that is well suited to
the tasks of park and trail patrol; and
WHEREAS, the cost to purchase the vehicle is $26,000, with an additional $1,670 for the
purchase of a graphics package, Class 2 license, and supplemental forward emergency lighting that
includes a light preemption package ; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department maintains and manages a DWI Resource Fund which has
sufficient funds available for this project within the Resource Planning Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the expenditure from the DWI Resource Fund in the amount of $27,670 to assist in a planned
vehicle replacement upgrade and equipment install is approved.
