R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-288
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING C HANGE O RDER N O. 1 AND 2 FOR THE
S TATE H WY 55 F RONTAGE R OAD R ECONSTRUCTION P ROJECT (13002)
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 includes:
Test pitting of soils to screen for soil contamination after groundwater contamination
was found during dewatering operations.
Additional excavation and a gate valve extension in an area where the existing
watermain was deeper than records indicated.
Exploratory excavation to find a water service line that was not able to be located.
Providing a reducer fitting for a water service line that was larger than indicated.
Exposing, relocating, and reinstalling private utility lines that were not identified during
the design locate phase of the project and determined to be in conflict with utility work.
Removing and disposing of shredded tires that were in the existing roadway subgrade.
Exposing and relocating a private fiber optic utility line that was determined to be in
conflict with proposed storm sewer; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No 2 includes the installation of additional concrete curb and gutter
and parking lot patching requested by the property owner of 11140 Highway 55 on their private
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Plymouth City Council of the City of
Plymouth, Minnesota that Change Orders No. 1 and 2 in the total amount of $32,994.80 are approved.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 28th day of August, 2018.
