RESOLUTION No. 2013-103
A RESOLUTION TO AWARD THE CONTRACT FOR THE 2013-2014
PROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURANCE TO
THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES INSURANCE TRUST (LMCIT)
WHEREAS, the city desires to purchase insurance coverage for potential liability
and property losses; and
WHEREAS, the city has reviewed the proposal for the necessary insurance
coverage; and
WHEREAS, the city received a renewal from the League of Minnesota Cities
Insurance Trust for $362,703 for coverage and limitations; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize the statutory tort
liability limit of $1,500,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the City of Plymouth
awards the 2013-2014 contract for property and casualty insurance to the League of
Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the City Council
authorizes the statutory tort liability limit of $1,500,000.
