R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-272
R ESOLUTION R ECEIVING E NGINEERING P ROPOSALS, D ESIGNATING THE
C ONSULTING E NGINEER AND A PPROVING THE J OINT P OWERS A GREEMENT FOR THE
B ROCKTON L ANE R ECONSTRUCTION (ST190005)
WHEREAS, a request for proposal was sent to two engineering firms that have
expertise to deliver the Brockton Lane Reconstruction Project; and
WHEREAS, two proposals were received and evaluated by both Plymouth and
Medina staff; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that Bolton & Menk, Inc. be designated as the
consulting engineer for this project; and
WHEREAS, a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Medina has been
prepared in which Medina and Plymouth have agreed to reconstruct Brockton Lane.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that Bolton & Menk, Inc. is designated as the City’s
consulting engineer for the Brockton Lane Reconstruction Project (ST190005) in the
amount of $310,726.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
sign the Agreement for Engineering Services.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Joint Powers Agreement between the City of
Plymouth and Medina for the Brockton Lane Reconstruction Project is hereby approved
and the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute the agreement and any
amendments to the agreement.
