C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-271
R ESOLUTION A WARDING THE C ONTRACT FOR THE
2019 P EDESTRIAN R AMP AND C ONCRETE R EPLACEMENT P ROJECT (ST199004.001)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2019 Pedestrian Ramp and Concrete
Replacement Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to State law, and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Contractor Total Bid
Standard Sidewalk $308,750.00
Concrete Idea, Inc. $310,000.00
Engineers Estimate $277,300.00
WHEREAS, it appears that Standard Sidewalk, Inc. of Blaine, MN, is the lowest responsible
bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to Standard Sidewalk, Inc. of
Blaine, MN.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The appropriate City Officials are authorized and directed to enter into the contract for the bid
with Standard Sidewalk, Inc. of Blaine, MN, in the name of the City of Plymouth for the 2019
Pedestrian Ramp and Concrete Replacement Project in the amount of $308,750.00.
2. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to return forthwith to all the bidders the deposits made
with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall
be retained until a contract has been signed.
3. The funding for this project will come from the Street Reconstruction Fund in the amount of
$324,187.50.
