R ESOLUTION A PPROVING E XPENDITURE FROM THE DWI
R ESOURCE F UND TO A SSIST IN A P LANNED V EHICLE R EPLACEMENT
U PGRADE AND E QUIPMENT I NSTALL
WHEREAS, the City has a replacement schedule for all fleet vehicles in its inventory and it has already
planned for the upcoming replacement of squad #4001; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting an upgrade for this particular replacement
vehicle as it needs to have an increased equipment storage capacity and an all-weather response
capability; and
WHEREAS, there would be an additional $5,700 charge for the vehicle upgrade, and an
additional $7,500 cost for equipment purchase and installation; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department maintains and manages a DWI Resource Fund which has
sufficient funds available for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the expenditure from the DWI Resource Fund in the amount of $13,200 to assist in a planned
vehicle replacement upgrade and equipment install is approved.
