City Council Special Meeting
June 12, 2018
Mayor Slavik called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 6:00 p.m. in the
Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on May 22, 2018.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councilmembers Prom, Wosje, Willis, Davis, Johnson,
and Carroll.
ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Callister, Administrative Services Director Hokkanen, Public
Works Director Thompson, Economic Development Manager Landhauser, Park and Recreation
Director Evans, Public Safety Director Goldstein, Fire Chief Coppa, Community Development
Director Juetten, and City Clerk Engdahl.
Twin West Update
This item was removed from the agenda and will be rescheduled later this year.
Budget Goals
Staff discussed with the Council the budget process and solicited and received feedback on items
to be researched and/or considered for preparing the 2019 budget.
Future Study Sessions
The following study sessions were scheduled:
• July 24 at 5:30 p.m. - Economic Development Strategic Planning session
• September 11 at 5:30 p.m. — use of drones by City staff
Adjournment
Mayor Slavik adjourned the Special Meeting at 6:35 p.m. The Council was then invited to a tour
of the Police Department's portable command unit prior to the start of the Regular Meeting.
