R ESOLUTION A WARDING THE C ONTRACT FOR 2018-2019
P ROPERTY AND C ASUALTY I NSURANCE
TO THE L EAGUE OF M INNESOTA C ITIES I NSURANCE T RUST (LMCIT)
WHEREAS, the City desires to purchase insurance coverage for potential liability and property
losses; and
WHEREAS, the City received a renewal from the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust for
an annual premium of $481,716; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize the statutory tort liability limit of
$1,500,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the 2018-2019 contract for property and casualty insurance is awarded to the League
of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust for an annual premium of $481,716.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the statutory tort liability limit of $1,500,000 is authorized.
