HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2018-174 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-174 R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P LANS AND S PECIFICATIONS AND O RDERING A DVERTISEMENT FOR B IDS FOR THE F ERNBROOK L ANE M ILL AND O VERLAY AND S CHMIDT L AKE R OAD AT I-494 E XPANSION P ROJECTS C ITY P ROJECT N OS. ST189002.001 AND ST180003 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted May 6, 2018, the City Engineer and its consultant has prepared plans and specifications for improvement Nos. ST189002.001 and ST180003, the improvement of Fernbrook Lane Mill and Overlay and Schmidt Lake Road at I-494 Expansion Projects including Fernbrook Lane from 34th Avenue to Schmidt Lake Road and Schmidt Lake Road from Fernbrook Lane to CSAH 61 by mill and overlay of streets, reconstruction of streets, bituminous trail, traffic signal modifications, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, water main repairs, sewer repairs, and all necessary appurtenances, and has presented such plans and Specifications to the Council for approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and on Quest CDN an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published three times, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on June 8, 2018 at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the engineer and City Clerk, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the council at 7:00 p.m. on June 26, 2018, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. APPROVED by the City Council on this 8th day of May, 2018.
