HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2018-118 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-118 R ESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON P ROPOSED A SSESSMENT FOR THE K ILMER P ARK S TREET R ECONSTRUCTION P ROJECT C ITY P ROJECT N O. ST189001.001 WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on March 13, 2018, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost for the improvement located on Pilgrim Lane North from 26th to 28th Avenue, Nathan Lane from Medicine Ridge Road to 28th Avenue, Lancaster Lane North from 27th Avenue to 28th Avenue, Kilmer Lane from 25th Avenue to 28th Avenue, 27th Avenue from Lancaster Lane to approximately 200 feet east of Kilmer Lane and 28th Avenue from Pilgrim Lane to Highway 169 Service Road by reconstruction of streets, installation of concrete curb and gutter and storm sewer, watermain and sanitary sewer repairs, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A hearing shall be held on the 8th day of May, 2018, in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:00 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearing.
