HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2018-115 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-115 R ESOLUTION R ECEIVING P RELIMINARY E NGINEERING R EPORT, O RDERING P REPARATION OF P LANS AND S PECIFICATIONS, AND C ALLING FOR A P UBLIC H EARING FOR THE K ILMER P ARK S TREET R ECONSTRUCTION P ROJECT (ST189001.001) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted March 13, 2018, a report has been prepared with reference to the recommended project area including Pilgrim Lane North from 26th to 28th Avenue, Nathan Lane from Medicine Ridge Road to 28th Avenue, Lancaster Lane North from 27th Avenue to 28th Avenue, Kilmer Lane from 25th Avenue to 28th Avenue, 27th Avenue from Lancaster Lane to approximately 200 feet east of Kilmer Lane and 28th Avenue from Pilgrim Lane to Highway 169 Service Road; and WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes reconstruction of streets, installation of concrete curb and gutter and storm sewer, repairs to the watermain and sanitary sewer, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on March 13, 2018; and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost effective, and feasible. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the designated Kilmer Park Street Reconstruction Project, City Project No. 189001.001, for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $3,017,738.63. 2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 8th day of May, 2018, in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. 3. The Plymouth Engineering Department is designated as engineer for the improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. APPROVED by the City Council on this 13th day of March, 2018.
