R ESOLUTION A WARDING B ID FOR THE N ORTHWEST G REENWAY T RAIL
S EGMENT F OUR (PRK140005.181) TO P ETERSON C OMPANIES
WHEREAS, City Council authorized the advertisement of bids for the construction the Northwest
Greenway (NWG) Trail Segment Four; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Northwest
Greenway Trail, PRK140005.181, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on
March 5, 2018, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement; and

Engineer’s Estimate $1,133,805.00
WHEREAS, based on bid amounts, staff and consultants recommend accepting the base bid and
alternate bid from Peterson Companies with a bid of $863,629.96; and
WHEREAS, Peterson Companies qualifications and work performance are compliant with the
City’s Responsible Bidder Evaluation Policy; and
WHEREAS, the Northwest Greenway Trail Project is scheduled in the 2018 Capital
Improvement Program (CIP) for $1,200,000 utilizing the Park Dedication Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to enter into contract with Peterson
Companies for the construction of the Northwest Greenway Trail Segment Four, PRK140005.181 for
$863,629.96 utilizing the Park Dedication Fund.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 13th day of March, 2018.
