R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-096
R ESOLUTION A UTHORIZING A C OMMUNITY E NGAGEMENT P ROCESS AND THE H IRING OF
H AMMEL, G REEN AND A BRAHAMSON FOR THE P OTENTIAL E XPANSION
AND R ENOVATION OF THE P LYMOUTH C REEK C ENTER
WHEREAS, the City would like to gather the opinions of residents for the potential expansion
and renovation of the Plymouth Creek Center; and
WHEREAS, staff is recommending to hire Hammel, Green, and Abrahamson (HGA), 420
North 5th Street, Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN 55401 to conduct the community engagement
process; and
WHEREAS, the community engagement process will be completed by November 2018 and
presented to City Council in December of 2018; and
WHEREAS, the contractual cost to hire HGA to complete the community engagement process is
$28,000. The City Manager recommends using the pre-construction Capital Fund (407) for the
consultant fees.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized and to enter into an agreement with
Hammel, Green and Abrahamson to lead the community engagement process for the Plymouth Creek
Center and funding will be taken from pre-construction Capital Fund (407).
