C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-86
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P URCHASE OF R OAD S ALT THROUGH THE
S TATE C OOPERATIVE P URCHASING V ENTURE
WHEREAS, the Office of State Procurement offers an annual road salt program through the
Cooperative Purchase Venture; and
WHEREAS, the new contract term is estimated to be from September 21, 2018 through May 31,
2019; and
WHEREAS, the Street Maintenance operating budget identifies $225,000.00 for road salt
purchase; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth commits to purchasing an amount of road salt in an estimated
amount of $225,000.00; however, authorization to commit more than this amount is authorized if the
inventory of salt on hand at the end of the 2017/2018 winter season requires such additional
committment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the purchase of road salt through the Office of State Procurement fuel program for the
contract term is approved.
