R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-079
R ESOLUTION A WARDING THE C ONTRACT FOR THE
P LYMOUTH C REEK C ENTER R OOFTOP U NIT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Plymouth Creek Center Rooftop Unit, bids were
received, opened and tabulated according to State law, and the following bids were received complying with the
advertisement:
Contractor Total Schedules B + Bid
Alternate A
Owens Companies, Inc. $141,800.00
Northland Mechanical Contractors $143,140.00
WHEREAS, Owens Companies, Inc. of Bloomington, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with
the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to Owens Companies Inc. of
Bloomington, MN.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to enter into the contract for Schedule B and Bid
Alternate A with Owens Companies Inc. of Bloomington, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the
Plymouth Creek Center Rooftop Unit according to the specifications therefore approved by the City Council and
on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $141,800.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funding for this contract shall be from the Central Services - Public
Facilities Fund in the amount of $141,800.00.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 27th day of February, 2018.
