R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-075
R ESOLUTION R ECEIVING E NGINEERING P ROPOSALS AND D ESIGNATING C ONSULTING
E NGINEER F OR THE E LM C REEK S TREAM R ESTORATION P ROJECT (18011)
WHEREAS, the Elm Creek Stream Restoration Project is included in the 2018-2022 Capital
Improvement Program at an estimated total cost of $825,000; and
WHEREAS, the Elm Creek Watershed Management Organization will be requesting project
approval from Hennepin County and anticipates an ad valorem tax levy in 2019 of approximately
$212,500 to fund this project; and
WHEREAS, a request for proposal was sent to three engineering firms with expertise in stream
restoration design; and
WHEREAS, three proposals were received and reviewed by City staff; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends Wenck Associates be designated consulting engineer for this
project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that:
1. Wenck Associates is designated as consulting engineer for design of the Elm Creek Stream
Restoration, City Project No. 18011, in the amount of $151,134.00.
2. Funding shall be from the Water Resources Fund with reimbursement of up to $212,500 from
the Elm Creek Watershed Management Organization.
