C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-048
R ESOLUTION A UTHORIZING THE S TAFFING A GREEMENT B ETWEEN
THE C ITY OF P LYMOUTH AND THE P LYMOUTH H ISTORICAL S OCIETY
WHEREAS, the City Council had previously authorized staff to initiate a joint partnership with the
Plymouth Historical Society for the 2018 calendar year; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has prepared a legal staffing agreement for the City of
Plymouth and the Plymouth Historical Society; and
WHEREAS, the City will provide the Plymouth Historical Society with a part-time City
employee to operate, program, work with volunteers, write grants, digitize information and
evaluate the operations of the Plymouth Historical Society; and
WHEREAS, following Council approval of the legal agreement, staff will seek out a qualified
candidate to fill this position; and
WHEREAS, approximately $27,000 has been approved for Historical Society staffing expenses in
the Parks and Recreation Administration budget for 2018.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the Staffing Agreement between the City of Plymouth and the Plymouth Historical
Society is approved.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 23rd day of January, 2018.
