R ESOLUTION N O. 2018-021
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING S IGN AND P AVEMENT M ARKING I NSTALLATION NEAR THE
I NTERSECTION OF 52 ND A VENUE, N IAGARA L ANE AND P OLARIS L ANE IN H AMPTON H ILLS
WHEREAS, the City received a request from residents regarding safety concerns at the
intersection of 52nd Avenue, Niagara Lane and Polaris Lane in Hampton Hills; and
WHEREAS, data has been collected and the intersection has been reviewed and analyzed; and
WHEREAS, the first phase will be to install signage and striping improvements combined with
increased Police enforcement and exploring sight distance improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:

1. That installation of an “All-Way” stop at the intersection of 52 Avenue, Niagara Lane and
Polaris Lane, two Chevron Alignment signs by the cell tower and pavement markings on
Polaris Lane between Niagara Lane and the cell tower are approved.
2. The intersection shall be reviewed and reanalyzed 6 months after improvements are
installed.
