The ISD 279 School Board is responsible for hiring a new superintendent who will lead the district beginning July 1, 2018, following the retirement of current Superintendent Kate Maguire. YOUR INPUT WILL HELP THE SCHOOL BOARD UNDERSTAND WHAT OUR STAKEHOLDERS THINK ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT QUALITIES OF A NEW SUPERINTENDENT. Input from families, staff, students, and community members will be used in two ways. To identify the top qualities our stakeholders are looking for in a new superintendent; this information will help the search firm recruit candidates. To contribute to the School Board’s decision making as it selects a new superintendent. TIMELINE (All dates are approximate and subject to change) ATTEND A COMMUNITY MEETING Language-specific group discussions will be held in English, Hmong, Spanish and/or Vietnamese, as noted below.
