R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-392
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING THE W ATER T ANK S ERVICE C ONTRACT FOR
THE Z ACHARY W ATER T OWER (15003)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the State of Minnesota Statute that allows for Water Tank Service
Contracts for water tank maintenance; and
WHEREAS, SEH Design/Build Inc. and KLM Engineering, Inc. have submitted proposals for Water
Tank Service Contracts for rehabilitating the Zachary Water Tower; and
WHEREAS, the KLM Engineering Inc. proposal has been determined to be the preferred
proposal; and
WHEREAS, KLM Engineering Inc. partners have successfully completed tank rehabilitation
projects in Plymouth and surrounding communities.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the appropriate City Officials are authorized and directed to enter into the contract
for the Water Tank Service Contract with KLM Engineering Inc. for rehabilitating the Zachary Water
Tower.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funding for this project shall be from the Water Fund in the
amount of $1,587,337 over the 10 year payment and warranty period consistent with the KLM
Engineering Option 2 payment plan proposal.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 12th day of December, 2017.
