R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-380
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING THE 2018 F IREFIGHTER C OMPENSATION P LAN AND
P AYMENT FOR FIREFIGHTER D ISABILITY I NSURANCE PREMIUM
WHEREAS, the city manager has recommended the establishment of 2018 pay rates for paid-on-call
firefighters; and
WHEREAS, the city manager has recommended payment of one-half of the premium for a disability
insurance policy.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the 2018 firefighter compensation plan and disability insurance premium are approved as
follows:
1. Approve the following rates of pay for paid-on-call firefighters and officers
2018 PROPOSED
TITLE HOURLY RATES
Firefighter $12.00--$14.71
Fire Lieutenant $14.71 + $1.50 = $16.21
Fire Captain $14.71 + $3.00 = $17.71
Fire Assistant Chief $14.71 + $6.00 = $20.71
2. Authorize $25,000 for the duty officer and duty chief program.
3. Authorize a payment of up to $3,500 to be made toward one-half of the premium for disability
insurance.
