R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-361
R ESOLUTION A CCEPTING D ONATION FROM THE
F AMILY OF LADDIE AND WARREN MILLER
WHEREAS, the family of Laddie and Warren Miller wish to donate $32,000 to the City of
Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, the family’s request was to utilize the donation for the construction of a pergola in
the Millennium Garden; and
WHEREAS, the small lawn on the north side of the garden has the capacity for a 16’ x 30'
shaded pergola structure; and
WHEREAS, the new feature will aesthetically fit the design of the existing site and will be
available to the public for years to come; and
WHEREAS, the structure will be utilized by the many visitors who walk through the Millennium
Garden and Plymouth Creek Center on a daily basis; and
WHEREAS, the donation would be applied to the Millennium Garden fund so it can be used to
support the fabrication and installation of a pergola structure.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the donation of $32,000 from the family of Laddie and Warren Miller is accepted.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 12th day of December, 2017.
