Special Council Meeting
November 28, 2017
Mayor Slavik called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. in the
Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on November 28, 2017.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councilmembers Davis, Prom, Wosje, Willis, Carroll, and
Johnson.
ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Callister, Community Development Director Juetten, Public
Works Director Thompson, Park and Recreation Director Evans, Deputy Director of Park and
Recreation Northway, City Engineer Renneberg, and City Clerk Engdahl.
Median/Beautification Proiects
City Engineer Renneberg discussed various options and costs for median and beautification
projects as contained in the packet materials. Factors such as how to prioritize the medians,
types of beautification measures, costs and resources to maintain the medians were discussed.
The majority of the Council supported looking at the Vicksburg Lane median from 36th Avenue
to 37th Avenue when Highway 55 to Rockford Road is reconstructed.
Future Study Sessions
The Council scheduled the annual board and commission recognition social on February 27,
2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Adiournment
Mayor Slavik adjourned the Special Meeting at 6:45 p.m.
