R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-348
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING A GREEMENT FOR THE
R AILWAY S AFETY I MPROVEMENT P ROJECT
AT THE P INEVIEW AND L ARCH C ROSSINGS (ST180002)
WHEREAS, the Railway Safety Improvement Project is listed in the draft 2018-2022 Capital
Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, a preliminary engineering report has been completed by Canadian Pacific (CP)
Railway; and
WHEREAS, improvements have been identified at an estimated construction cost of $240,371
for the Pineview crossing and $237,047 for the Larch crossing; and
WHEREAS, the total project cost, including administration, engineering and contingencies is
estimated at $525,159.80.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to sign the Agreement with CP Railway
subject to City Attorney approval.
