R ESOLUTION A PPROVING C HANGE O RDER AND F INAL P AYMENT FOR THE
E XPANSION AND R ENOVATION OF THE P LYMOUTH I CE C ENTER &
L IFE T IME F ITNESS P ARKING L OT (PRK40044)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, as owner, and New Look Contracting, as contractor, have
entered into an agreement for the expansion and renovation of the Plymouth Ice Center and Life Time
Fitness Parking lot, and said agreement was approved by the City Council on February 23, 2016; and
WHEREAS, change orders were issued for the project in the amount of $16,785.20. The
change orders were needed to resolve poor soil conditions, to replacement additional concrete
ribbon, make adjustment to the gate valves and additional temporary striping to keep the parking
lot operational during construction; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has submitted a request for final payment, which includes the
change orders listed above, in the amount of $26,208.49 (cumulative payments totaling
$1,048,339.77); and
WHEREAS, City staff and the consultant have certified and accepted the work; and
WHEREAS, the overall project was approved for $1,225,000 (including contingency),
utilizing $550,000 of City funds (park dedication and replacement fund) and $675,000 from Life
Time Fitness. The overall project cost is $1,147,158.79, which is $77,841.21 under budget; and
WHEREAS, the final funding sources for the project are listed below.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the final payment for the expansion and renovation of the Plymouth Ice Center and
Life Time Fitness Parking lot, to New Look Contracting in the amount $26,208.49 (cumulative payments
totaling $1,048,339.77) is approved.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 14th day of November 2017.
