Plymouth on Parade set for Sept. 23
Plymouth, Minn. – The 20th annual Plymouth on Parade is set for Saturday, Sept. 23. The free event
begins at 10:30 a.m. with a parade, followed by entertainment and family activities noon to 2 p.m.
The parade route spans Plymouth Boulevard, from 34th to 37th avenues. More than 70 units will
participate, including firetrucks, unicycles and traveling performance groups such as the St. Paul
Bouncing Team, the Minnesota Vikings Skol Line and Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band.
This year’s parade grand marshal is KARE 11 Anchor Camille Williams. Williams and her husband, Cory
Hepola, are Plymouth residents and weekend co-anchors on KARE 11.
Following the parade, free family activities and entertainment will begin at the Hilde Performance
Center, 3500 Plymouth Blvd. Attractions include face painting, inflatables, family games and live music
by the Plymouth Concert Band.
In addition, open swimming, gym and ice skating will be available at Life Time Fitness and the Plymouth
Ice Center, next door to the Hilde.
Attendees are encouraged to bring cash for food truck concessions, including My Burger, Broadway
Pizza, Cold Stone Creamery, and Crepe and Cake.
Event attendees are encouraged to tweet their photos using #PlymouthonParade for a chance to be
retweeted by the City of Plymouth, @PlymouthMN_gov.
Plymouth on Parade is sponsored by the City of Plymouth, TCF Bank, Allina Health/Abbott
Northwestern-WestHealth, Life Time Fitness and CCX Media.
Cutline: The 20th annual Plymouth on Parade begins 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 with a parade
traversing Plymouth Boulevard, followed by free entertainment and family activities. Tweet parade
photos with #PlymouthonParade for a chance to be retweeted by the city.
