R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-290
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P AYMENT #1 AND F INAL
FOR R EPLACEMENT OF B OILERS AT THE Z ACHARY W ATER T REATMENT P LANT (16023)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner and as the contractor, have entered into
an agreement to Replace the Boilers at the Zachary Water Treatment Plant Project, City Project
No. 16023, said agreement was approved by the City Council on January 24, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval of the
final request for payment.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. That the original contract amount and the value of the work to date is $108,500.00
and is approved.
2. That the work performed by the contractor to Replace the Boilers at the Zachary
Water Treatment Plant Project and certified to the Council by the engineer as
acceptable, being the same, is released from the contract except as to the conditions
of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the owner, required guarantees
and correction of faulty work after final payment.
3. Request for Payment No. 1 and Final in the amount of $108,500.00 to Northland
Mechanical Contractors to Replace the Boilers at the Zachary Water Treatment Plant
Project is approved and the Administrative Services Director is authorized and
directed to pay the same forthwith.
4. Funding for this project will be through the Water Fund in the amount of $113,925.00.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 12th day of September, 2017.
