R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-279
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING A C OMPREHENSIVE P LAN A MENDMENT TO R EGUIDE
R OUGHLY 15 ACRES FROM LA-RT TO LA-R2 FOR “B EACON R IDGE” (2017 053)
WHEREAS, Estate Development Corporation has requested a comprehensive plan amendment
to reguide roughly 15 acres of land located at 5225, 5305, and 5325 Dunkirk Lane from LA-RT (living
area-rural transition) to LA-R2 (living area-rural 2); and
WHEREAS, the land affected by the reguiding is presently legally described as follows:
The North Half of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 8, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County Minnesota.
AND
The South Half of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 8, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County Minnesota.
AND
The North Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 8, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County Minnesota.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing
and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and does approve an amendment to the comprehensive plan to reguide
roughly 15 acres of land located at 5225, 5305, and 5325 Dunkirk Lane (as legally described above)
from LA-RT to LA-R2.
FURTHER, to incorporate the changes, the city will modify Figure 3-1, 2030 Land Use Plan in
Chapter 3 of the Plymouth Comprehensive Plan; and
FURTHER, approval of the comprehensive plan amendment is contingent upon, and subject to,
the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 22nd day of August, 2017.
