R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-240
R ESOLUTION A WARDING THE C ONTRACT FOR THE
2017 C ONTRACTOR M ILL AND O VERLAY P ROJECT (179004.002)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2017 Contractor Mill and Overlay
Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to State law, and the following bids were
received complying with the advertisement:

Omann Brothers Paving $494,950.00
ASTECH $497,280.30
Bituminous Roadways $541,357.40

Engineers Estimate $563,065.95
WHEREAS, it appears that C.S. McCrossan of Maple Grove, MN, is the lowest responsible bidder,
complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to C.S. McCrossan.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the appropriate City Officials are authorized and directed to enter into the contract
with C.S. McCrossan of Maple Grove, MN, in the name of the City of Plymouth for the 2017 Contractor
Mill and Overlay Project according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council
and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $421,076.30.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the project would be funded from the following sources:
assessments in the amount of $421,074.04, the Street Reconstruction Fund in the amount of
$203,118.89, the Water Fund in the amount of $102,726.32, the Sewer Fund in the amount of
$69,715.29, and the Street Maintenance Budget in the amount of $10,000.00.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 27th day of June, 2017.
