C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-226
R ESOLUTION A WARDING THE C ONTRACT FOR 2” AND U NDER D IAMETER
E MERGENCY U TILITY L INE R EPAIRS AND R EPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, each year emergency repairs are needed to public utility lines; and
WHEREAS, specifications have been prepared for the 2” and Under Diameter Emergency Utility
Line Repairs and Replacement; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2” and Under Diameter Emergency
Utility Line Repairs and Replacement, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to State law,
and the following bid was received complying with the advertisement:
Contractor Total Bid
JP Schmitz Construction Company $3,400.00
WHEREAS, JP Schmitz Construction Company of Maple Grove, Minnesota, is the lowest
responsible bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to JP Schmitz Construction
Company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The appropriate City Officials are authorized and directed to enter into the contract for the
bid with JP Schmitz Construction Company of Maple Grove, Minnesota, for 2” and Under
Diameter Emergency Utility Line Repairs and Replacement.
2. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to return to the bidder the deposit made after the
bid once the contract has been signed.
3. The funding for this contract shall come from the Water and Sewer Funds.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 27th day of June, 2017.
