R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-211
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING F INAL P AYMENT, A UTHORIZING E XECUTION OF
P ROJECT C LOSEOUT D OCUMENTS, AND C ERTIFYING S UBSTANTIAL C OMPLETION
OF THE W ATER M ETER R EPLACEMENT P ROJECT (15022)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth awarded a contract to Badger Meter, Inc. in the amount of
$5,146,906.17 to replace a substantial portion of the City’s water meter inventory; and
WHEREAS, as part of this project, the City and Contractor replaced or improved meters in 19,441
residential, commercial, and industrial properties increasing the initial replacement estimate; and
WHEREAS, the project is substantially complete and meets contract standards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the final pay request from Badger Meter, Inc. in the amount of $390,219.94 for a total
contract amount of $5,401,682.61 resulting in a final project cost of $5,553,714 is approved. This amount
certifies substantial completion of the Water Meter Replacement Project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is authorized to execute project closeout documents.
