R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-189
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING F INDINGS OF F ACT FOR A MENDING THE
Z ONING O RDINANCE T EXT RELATED TO THE N ORTHWEST P OINTE B USINESS C ENTRE,
FOR P ROPERTY LOCATED AT 2155 N IAGARA L ANE (2017 039)
WHEREAS, Inspired Athletics LLC has requested a planned unit development (PUD) amendment
to allow a sports and fitness club in the Parkers Lake PUD for property located at 2155 Niagara Lane; and
WHEREAS, the subject property is legally described as Lot 1, Block 1, Northwest Pointe Business
Centre, Hennepin County, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing
and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance text.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and does approve the request by Inspired Athletics LLC for a PUD
amendment and related zoning ordinance text amendment, based on the following findings:
1. The amendment is consistent with the objectives of the City’s comprehensive plan and with
the industrial guiding of the site.
2. The amendment would not affect the purposes or intent of the PUD.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 23rd day of May, 2017.
