R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-184
R ESOLUTION R EJECTING A LL B IDS FOR 2017 M ISCELLANEOUS U TILITY
M AINTENANCE AND R ESTORATION
WHEREAS, each year repairs are needed to public utility infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, specifications have been prepared for 2017 Miscellaneous Utility Maintenance and
Restoration; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for 2017 Miscellaneous Utility Maintenance
and Restoration, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to State Law, and the following
bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Contractor Total Bid
Klein Underground, LLC $517,175.00
Engineer’s Estimate $254,025.00
WHEREAS, costs were significantly higher than engineer’s estimates.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that all bids for 2017 Miscellaneous Utility Maintenance and Restoration are rejected.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 23rd day of May, 2017.
