RESOLUTION No. 2017-176
RESOLUTION AWARDING THE CONTRACT
FOR THE CSAR 24 RECONSTRUCTION AND EXPANSION AND
MILL AND OVERLAY (5122)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the CSAH 24 Reconstruction and Expansion
and Mill and Overlay Project between Olive Lane and Highway 55 in the City of Plymouth, Hennepin
County Project No. 961701 and City Project No. 5122 (State Aid Project No 155-020-016), bids were
received, opened and tabulated according to State law, and the following bids were received complying
with the advertisement:

WHEREAS, it appears that C.S. McCrossan of Maple Grove, MN is the lowest responsible bidder,
complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to C.S. McCrossan of Maple
Grove, MN; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
The appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract
for the bid with C.S. McCrossan of Maple Grove, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for
the CSAH 24 Reconstruction and Expansion and Mill and Overlay Project according to the
plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of
the City Engineer in the amount of $2,169,822.45.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
3. The funding for this project will come from MSA Fund ($953,766.05) and the Water Fund
($232,173.00) and the Street Reconstruction Fund ($143,566.88).
APPROVED by the City Council on this 9th day of May, 2017.
