WHEREAS, City Council authorized the advertisement of bids for the construction the Northwest Greenway (NWG) Trail Segment Three; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Northwest Greenway Trail, PRK140005.171, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on April 11, 2017, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement; and COMPANY BASE BID & ALT. JTS Construction, Inc. $887,216.50 Pember Companies $969,291.45 Rosti Construction $984,170.50 Veit & Company $985,374.10 S.M. Hentges & Sons $1,013,585.25 GL Contracting, Inc. $1,047,370.05 Sunram Construction, Inc. $1,088,102.00 Janke General Contractors $1,228,331.05 C.S. McCrossaan Construction $1,254,927.00 Engineer’s Estimate $1,227,802.00 WHEREAS, based on bid amounts, staff and consultants recommend accepting the base bid and alternate bid from JTS Construction, Inc. with a bid of $887,216.50; and WHEREAS, JTS Construction, Inc. qualifications and work performance are compliant with the City’s Responsible Bidder Evaluation Policy; and WHEREAS, the Northwest Greenway Trail Project is scheduled in the 2017 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for $1,200,000 utilizing $700,000 from the Park Dedication Fund and $500,000 from the Capital Improvement Fund. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to enter into contract with JTS Construction, Inc. for the construction of the Northwest Greenway Trail Segment Three (PRK140005.171) for $887,216.50 utilizing the Park Dedication and Capital Improvement Fund. APPROVED by the City Council on this 25th day of April, 2017.
