R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-153
R ESOLUTION A WARDING THE C ONTRACT FOR THE 2018 M ILL & O VERLAY U TILITY
M AINTENANCE – W ATER M AIN P ROJECT (ST189004.001)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2018 Mill & Overlay Utility
Maintenance – Water Main Project (ST189004.001), bids were received, opened, and tabulated
according to State Law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Contractor Total Bid
New Look Contracting, Inc. $447,675
C.S. McCrossan Construction $575,210
Valley-Rich Co. Inc. $631,650
Engineers Estimate $823,500
WHEREAS, it appears that New Look Contracting, Inc. from Rogers, Minnesota, is the lowest
responsible bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to New Look Contracting, Inc.
from Rogers, Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the
contract for the bid with New Look Contracting, Inc. from Rogers, Minnesota, in the name of the City of
Plymouth for the 2018 Mill & Overlay Utility Maintenance – Water Main Project (ST189004.001) in the
amount of $447,675.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the project would be funded from the Water Fund in the
amount of $470,058.75.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 25th day of April, 2017.
