C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-152
R ESOLUTION A WARDING THE C ONTRACT FOR 2017 S TORM AND S ANITARY S EWER M ATERIALS
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for 2017 Storm and Sanitary Sewer Materials,
bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to State Law, and the following bids were received
complying with the advertisement:
Supplier Total Bid
Ess Brothers & Sons, Inc $144,826.25
Engineers Estimate $151,750.76
WHEREAS, it appears that Ess Brothers & Sons, Inc. from Loretto, Minnesota, is the lowest
responsible bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the contract to Ess Brothers & Sons, Inc.,
from Loretto, Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the
contract for the bid with Ess Brothers & Sons, Inc. out of Loretto, Minnesota, in the name of the City of
Plymouth for 2017 Storm and Sanitary Sewer Materials in the amount of $144,826.25.
FURTHERMORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the materials would be funded from the Sewer
Fund in the amount of $105,640.25 and the Water Resources Fund in the amount of $39,186.00.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 25th day of April, 2017.
