R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-151
R ESOLUTION A WARDING THE C ONTRACT FOR THE 2018 M ILL & O VERLAY U TILITY
M AINTENANCE – S TORM & S ANITARY S EWER P ROJECT (ST189004.001)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2018 Mill & Overlay Utility
Maintenance – Storm & Sanitary Sewer Project (ST189004.001), bids were received, opened, and
tabulated according to State Law, and the following bids were received complying with the
advertisement:
Contractor Total Bid
Klein Underground, LLC $566,291.00
New Look Contracting, Inc. $575,260.00
C.S. McCrossan Construction $974,145.00
Engineers Estimate $565,535.00
WHEREAS, it appears that Klein Underground, LLC from Howard Lake, Minnesota, is the lowest
responsible bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to Klein Underground, LLC from
Howard Lake, Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the appropriate City officials are authorized and directed to enter into the contract for
the bid with Klein Underground, LLC from Howard Lake, Minnesota, in the name of the City of Plymouth
for the 2018 Mill and Overlay Utility Maintenance – Storm & Sanitary Sewer Project (ST189004.001) in
the amount of $566,291.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the project would be funded from the Sewer Fund in the amount
of $280,756.35, the Water Resources Fund in the amount of $241,509.45, and the Street Reconstruction
Fund in the amount of $72,339.75.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 25th day of April, 2017.
