R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-149
R ESOLUTION A WARDING C ONTRACT FOR 2017-2018
P ROPERTY AND C ASUALTY I NSURANCE TO
THE L EAGUE OF M INNESOTA C ITIES I NSURANCE T RUST (LMCIT)
WHEREAS, the City desires to purchase insurance coverage for potential liability and property
losses; and
WHEREAS, the City received a renewal from the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance
Trust for an annual premium of $424,609; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the Council authorize the statutory tort liability limit
of $1,500,000.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the 2017-2018 contract for property and casualty insurance is awarded to the League
of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust for an annual premium of $424,609.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the statutory tort liability limit of $1,500,000 is authorized.
