C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-101
R ESOLUTION A UTHORIZING THE P URCHASE OF N ETWORK S TORAGE A RRAY
WHEREAS, the City maintains an information technology network to provide efficient and
effective business processes; and
WHEREAS, from time to time this vital network infrastructure needs to be upgraded and improved
to meet the needs of various city departments; and
WHEREAS, staff has thoroughly vetted network storage options; and
WHEREAS, the selected network storage array will meet the needs of the organization today and is
scalable for future demands.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the purchase of the Isilon x210 network storage array from the Midwest
Higher Education Compact in the amount of $250,000 is approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding will come from Information Technology account No. 620-
20-260-26000-8100.500.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 14th day of March, 2017.
