C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-090
R ESOLUTION A CCEPTING D ONATION OF 40 “H OME A WAY” K ITS
FOR D ISPLACED C HILDREN FROM THE P LYMOUTH L IONS C LUB
WHEREAS, police officers and firefighters encounter crisis situations where they must remove
children from their homes to provide for their safety; and
WHEREAS, time is often limited in these situations and children must leave their homes with few
personal belongings; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Lions Club developed 40 “home away” care kits for children and youth;
and
WHEREAS, these kits provide for the toiletry and personal hygiene needs of displaced children.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the donation of 40 “home away” kits is accepted.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 14th day of March, 2017.
