C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-078
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING THE P URCHASE OF
T HREE P OLICE P ATROL V EHICLES
WHEREAS, the approved 2017-2021 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and approved 2017
Central Equipment Budget include $123,000 for the replacement of three police patrol vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the City may purchase off state contracts; and
WHEREAS, Nelson Auto Center has been awarded the contract with the state for police
patrol vehicles (Contract #83065); and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA authorizes the purchase of three new replacement police patrol vehicles
from the state contract (Contract #83065) through Nelson Auto Center. The cost for three vehicles
is $100,967.85 ($33,655.95 each). No sales tax will be due on the vehicles since they all are clearly
marked emergency vehicles.
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, funding shall be from the Central Equipment Budget (600-70-760-
76001-8100.500)
