R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-037
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P URCHASE OF S IGNAL E QUIPMENT FOR THE
P HASE 3 F LASHING Y ELLOW A RROW S IGNAL P ROJECT (15008)
WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes the Flashing Yellow Arrow Signal
Project; and
WHEREAS, the City may make purchases off the State of Minnesota contracts; and
WHEREAS, Traffic Control Corporation has a contract with the state for traffic signal equipment
meeting City specifications under State Contract #70761; and
WHEREAS, Traffic Control Corporation will provide the traffic signal cabinets and hardware
necessary for Phase 3 of the Flashing Yellow Arrow project in the amount of $206,895.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the purchase of traffic signal equipment in the amount of $206,895 from Traffic
Control Corporation is approved.
BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED that funding for this project will be from the Street Reconstruction
Fund (General Fund Reserves) for $692,665 and Construction Improvement Fund (CON 413) for
$1,000,000 as approved by the City Council in 2014.
