C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-031
R ESOLUTION R ECEIVING E NGINEERING P ROPOSALS AND D ESIGNATING
THE C ONSULTING E NGINEER F OR THE
P LYMOUTH C REEK S TREAM R ESTORATION P ROJECT (16007)
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Creek Stream Restoration Project is included in the 2017-2021 Capital
Improvement Program at an estimated total cost of $800,000; and
WHEREAS, the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Organization has received project
approval from Hennepin County and anticipates an ad valorem tax levy in 2017-2018 of approximately
$850,000 to fund this project; and
WHEREAS, a request for proposal was sent to two engineering firms with expertise in stream
restoration design; and
WHEREAS, two proposals were received and reviewed by City staff; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends Wenck Associates be designated consulting engineer for this
project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that:
1. Wenck Associates is designated as consulting engineer for design of the Plymouth Creek
Stream Restoration, City Project No. 16007, in the amount of $113,034.
2. Funding shall be from the Water Resources Fund with reimbursement of up to $850,000 from
the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Organization.
